Course 1: Reduce, Reuse, Reinvent, Upcycle!
Mixed media artist Nina Mankin will be running a 2 hour workshop on the theme of recycling clothing and accessories. Discover how to reuse old items of clothing, curtains, cushions, ribbons, buttons, bags and accessories and revamp them into eco fashionista dream garments & accessories with your own unique style!
You will learn basic sewing techniques & stitching, applique, design & print t-shirts, and develop your creativity in this fun and eco friendly workshop. A chance to finally make use of all those old hoarded clothes and items that are sitting in boxes just waiting for a good use!

Course 2: Figurative Ceramics Workshop
Artist Alan Stott studied at Goldsmiths and Leeds University and went on to teach at the Royal College of Art, Winchester University and Kingsway College.
Alan will be running a 2-hour weekly course which will teach students to explore different aspects of creating a portrait head and/or a figure in clay. Techniques include hand building, and transferring photos and drawings to clay.

Course 3: Black and white Photography
2-hour weekly course which will include an introduction to manual cameras, film formats and darkroom techniques. Students will work with a self initiated project and learn camera lighting and film processing in Kingsgate Workshops Trust darkroom and photography studio.

Course 4: Stained Glass Making
Glass artist Beverly Bryon of Prisms Glass Design, works to commission and has most recently created 10 large windows for Newnham College, Cambridge.
Beverly will assist students to design their own stained glass panels. Students will learn how to cut glass for their designs, which will be put together using the Tiffany Copper-foil technique. Hooks can be added to panels to be hung within a window, or it may be possible to make a panel to install in an existing window (size permitting).

Course 5: Ceramics

Course 6: Dry Point Etching
Printmaker Theresa Pateman graduated with a Fine Art Degree from Coventry Faculty of Art in 1983. Since then Theresa has been working as a Printmaker - illustrator and more recently teaching printmaking at the Hampstead School of Art and the Institute Art Centre in East Finchley.
Theresa will be running a 2.5-hour weekly course using the method of dry-point or engraving on copper plate. Using Kingsgate Workshops Trust's own printing press, students will create a series of individual prints to take home.

Course 7: Life Drawing
Alan Stott will be running a 2-hour weekly course, which will focus on drawing the figure. This course is especially suited for beginners, or those who want to refresh their skills. Sketchbooks are encouraged, and are a good way of deepening the level of confidence as each student progresses.

Course 8: Drawing and Printing (without press)
Alan Stott will be running a 2-hour weekly course which will concentrate on the creative possibilities of a range of media, including mixing wet and dry media, collage, and printing without a press.
This course is suitable for beginners who want to explore a more painterly approach to drawing and printing and who want to develop their own visual language.

Adult Introduction to Mosaics
This 10-week course will cover all the basic information needed to complete at least one project. This class is intended for participants who want to learn the process of creating a mosaic, cutting, adhesion, tile layout, and grouting.
Students will complete a mosaic mirror or small panel to introduce them to the possibilities of mosaic art. All materials and use of tools are included. This course is limited to 10 people.

Animation for 8 - 14 year olds
- In this new class children will work in groups to

Arts and crafts 5 - 11 year olds
- An expressive and fun, vibrant art class where children will be painting, sticking, modeling, drawing, making and much more.

Fun With Clay 5 - 11 year olds
- An exciting and lively theme -based course where children are encouraged to use their imaginations. Working together and individually to produce fantastic creations in clay.
